The questions families ask most about medical, MBBS, engineering, MBA and BPT direct admission across India. Honest answers, not sales pitches.
Direct MBBS admission through NRI quota, Management quota or Institutional quota requires a valid NEET-UG score (any qualifying mark is enough for most private and deemed colleges). NRI quota additionally needs a passport, NRI sponsor declaration and relationship proof. Management quota typically needs domicile in the relevant state, 10th and 12th marksheets, and the NEET scorecard. SG Education runs a free eligibility check on your first call so you know which routes you actually qualify for before any college is shortlisted.
Direct B.Tech admission through Management quota generally requires 50%+ in 12th science (PCM), a valid JEE Main / MHCET / COMEDK / state CET score, and the relevant state domicile where required. For Institute quota seats inside private engineering colleges, eligibility is similar but the seat count is much smaller. Some deemed engineering universities like VIT, Manipal and BITS have their own entrance, so SG will tell you which path matches your score in 10 minutes on call.
For NRI Quota MBBS: passport copies (student plus sponsor), NRI declaration on stamp paper, relationship proof, NEET scorecard, 10th and 12th marksheets, transfer certificate, passport-size photos, and embassy attestation where applicable. For Management or Institutional quota: domicile certificate, NEET scorecard, 10th and 12th marksheets, ID proof, photos. We send a written document checklist tailored to your specific quota and target college on the first counselling call.
The SG direct admission process is seven stages: (1) Free 30-minute counselling call where we map your score to realistic options. (2) Written shortlist of 3 to 5 colleges with full FRA-approved fees. (3) Document readiness check. (4) Official college application via the college's own portal, never through SG. (5) You pay the college directly into its official bank account; SG never collects any admission fee, capitation, or donation. (6) Admission letter issued by the college. (7) Reporting day and post-admission support including hostel, mess and documentation. The full process is published at /direct-admission/process/.
From the first call to admission letter, most direct MBBS admissions complete in 7 to 30 days depending on the quota and round. NRI quota deemed college admissions usually close in 7 to 15 days. State Management quota seats follow the state CET round schedule and can take 3 to 4 weeks. Institutional quota inside private Maharashtra colleges aligns with MHCET's institutional round. We share a realistic timeline based on your specific colleges on the first call.
For MBBS, NEET-UG 2026 is expected in early May 2026; All India Quota counselling begins late July, and state and deemed college rounds (including NRI quota) typically run between August and October 2026. Engineering admissions through MHCET, COMEDK and JEE Main run on a similar June to October window. SG counsellors maintain a live calendar of every state's counselling round dates, so ask for the latest sheet on your call.
Each family at SG is assigned ONE named senior counsellor who handles your file from the first call to the day you report at the college. They (a) verify your eligibility against every quota you might qualify for, (b) build a realistic written shortlist with FRA-approved fees, (c) flag colleges that aren't worth your money even if they're advertising heavily, (d) prepare your document set, (e) guide you through the college's official application, and (f) stay reachable on WhatsApp and phone throughout. No call-centre churn, no transfers to a junior at payment time.
No. Our counselling is free for the family. SG Education does NOT collect any admission fee, capitation, donation, or 'guarantee' fee on behalf of any college, ever, before or after admission. All college fees are paid by you directly to the college's official bank account through verified, written channels. SG is compensated separately by the partner college only after your admission is officially confirmed, which keeps our advice honest and lets us say 'no' to colleges that aren't right for your family.
